Webinar: Pharmacy-Based Incentives to Enrich Benefits & Reduce Diabetes Costs
When:
Apr 21, 2026 from 01:00:00 PM to 02:00:00 PM (CT)
Diabetes continues to drive a significant share of employer and health plan spending, yet many organizations struggle to influence the day‑to‑day behaviors that shape long‑term outcomes. This session explores how pharmacy‑based incentives can serve as a powerful tool to improve medication adherence, enhance member engagement, and meaningfully reduce medical claims costs for diabetic populations. Presenters from Abacus Health Solutions and Children’s Hospital of Alabama share practical strategies and real‑world results that help employers enrich benefits while improving member health.
Objectives:
Identify opportunities to use pharmacy‑based incentives to improve diabetes medication adherence. Participants will be able to explain how pharmacy-based incentives can motivate diabetic members to maintain consistent medication use and engage more actively in their treatment plans.
Apply practical strategies for integrating a pharmacy‑based incentive program into existing benefits. Participants will be able to outline implementation steps, stakeholder considerations, and data analysis to successfully launch a pharmacy-based incentive program for diabetes management.
Consider the clinical and financial impact of integrating pharmacy-based incentives for diabetic members. Participants will understand how the program influences health outcomes and lowers overall medical claims costs.
Presenters:
Sean Follick, Partner & Senior Vice President of Sales, Abacus Health Solutions, LLC Natalie Nelson, CWPM, Employee Benefits & Wellbeing Coordinator, Children's Hospital of Alabama
