Webinar: Focusing on the People Side of Mergers and Acquisitions
When:
Aug 27, 2019 from 02:00:00 PM to 03:00:00 PM (CT)
Credits Available:
CHHR 1, SHRM 1, HRCI 1
Cost:
$39 (ASHHRA members), $79 (Nonmembers)
Description:
The record-setting pace of corporate consolidation in 2018, and the first half of 2019, has made it hard to keep up with who owns which major companies in the United States and abroad. In the health care field, 2018 set its own record high for mergers and acquisitions, and the pace is expected to continue as declining reimbursements and rising costs squeeze already slim margins.
Presenters will discuss the importance of integrating two cultures and identify ways to turn potential disruption into opportunity. They will spotlight recent mergers that have resulted in strong integration as well as those that have met challenges. The presenters will also identify and review potential union-related matters, including managing an integrated workforce as well as mitigating new or enhanced risks of unionization.
Objectives:
Identify the importance of integrating cultures as being critical to achieving business goals and objectives.
Reduce resistance to change among your workforce in an M&A environment and mitigate the risk for possible triggers for union activity.
Use employee data survey information to inform communications efforts and organizational improvement efforts.
Presenter:
Robert Moll, Practice Leader, IRI Consultants
