Building professional relationships has always included a unique set of challenges. In today’s world, professionals who are working together are often not in the same geographical location and may never or only occasionally meet face to face. Working relationships are built through virtual interactions, adding another layer of complication to the relationship building process. In this session we will explore the challenges inherent in building virtual relationships and brainstorm solutions for managing those challenges.

Denise "Dee" Borgoyn, SPHR

Managing a diverse workforce can be very challenging, yet it is to an organization’s benefit to recognize and leverage the many talents of the individuals in our workplaces. In this session we will talk about the business case for inclusion and actively inclusive leadership, which include positive impacts on our employer branding and recruitment, staff engagement, and workforce retention. We’ll discuss how diversity drives innovation. We’ll end with best practices and real strategies for today and the next decade for fostering open, inclusive environments at work.
