Webinar: Before the Crisis: Building Preventative Mental Healthcare into the Workforce
When:
Sep 8, 2026 from 01:00:00 PM to 02:00:00 PM (CT)
September is Suicide Prevention Month, and for healthcare workers the risk it points to rarely arrives out of nowhere. It builds often in the hours and days after a difficult clinical event, when second victim syndrome, moral injury, and acute distress go unspoken and unsupported. Presented with ASHHRA and The Hartford, this fireside conversation is led by Jacinta Harman, VP of Clinical Services at Marvin, in conversation with an HR leader from a health system navigating these questions in real time. Jacinta will walk through Caring After Crisis, Marvin's framework for structured, activatable support in the critical 24–72 hours after an adverse event, and make the case that a strong post-incident response is one of its most important pieces. From there the conversation moves to the harder question for HR: how do you extend that same structured, confidential, always-available support upstream, so distress is met early rather than only after a crisis?
Objectives:
1. Discuss where today’s mental health care model leaves people unsupported.
2. Explore why so much mental health support never reaches the clinical floor.
3. Identify actions HR leaders can take this month to make preventive mental health care a standing feature of the workplace.
Presenters:
Jacinta Harman, MSW., LCSW., Vice President of Clinical Services, Marvin Behavioral Health
To be announced, The Hartford
